Miter & Radial Arm Saws.

This beginner’s class is an introduction to safe and effective use of the miter saw & radial arm saw.  These are two great saws that are powerful and precise.  The miter saw is generally used for crosscutting and mitering while the radial arm has a wide variety of cutting capabilities including crosscutting, mitering, ripping, dadoes, and rabbets.

Topics include safety, material selection, and tool adjustment.  Principles and practices in cutting with these pieces of equipment are the heart of the class.  There will be a brief written test on each to make sure you are paying attention!  Join us to discover the potential uses of these powerful and accurate machines.
