Writer and woodworker Kevin Cook has a diverse set of interests, and as such, takes his inspiration from diverse circumstances. In search of a facility that could cater to his needs, Cook happened upon The Factory Cherry Hill.
Whether building furniture in his studio, writing the next chapter of a historic narrative, or finishing off a piece of artwork, the indoor/outdoor campus suits Cook perfectly.
“I like the accessibility,” he said. “I like that there’s outdoor space. It’s part of the process. If I’m painting stuff, I want to be outside.”
The outdoors are an important dimension in Cook’s work, which includes the locally rooted historic work, “Along the Cooper River.” He’s currently working on a follow-up about Camden’s Victor Talking Machine Company.
